I have been saying for at least 10 years "I’m
getting breast implants". I didn’t know when, but I knew one day I would be getting
              them. I have
always been in good shape and of course breasts are made up of fat
cells so if you are thin rarely do you have big boobs.
After college I moved to Northwestern Ontario and
I met a girl, a friends girl friend, and she was a ‘dancer’ and she
              had breast
implants. She was the first person that I met that had implants.
Unfortunately I was living in Northwestern Ontario and if I wanted
              to
get implants I would have had to travel 2 hours to Winnipeg and
              it
was never an option for me.
About a year and a half ago I moved to Ottawa. Only
months after arriving in Ottawa I thought, this is a city I bet
they have plastic surgeons here. So I went online and tried to find a plastic surgeon.
I obviously didn’t look very hard because I was convinced
              Ottawa
didn’t have any, and that I was stuck again and would have
              to travel
to Toronto if I wanted one.
A friend of mine is the manager of one of the gyms
in Ottawa and I work out at her gym. One day out of the blue she tells me that one
              of
her personal trainers just got implants. I was shocked. Ottawa had
plastic surgeons! I tell my friend that I didn’t think there
              were any
plastic surgeons here and to find out who she went to. Well once
              I
discovered that Ottawa had plastic surgeons I was determined to
              get
implants. So I got home that night and looked in the yellow pages.
And low and behold there are plastic surgeons listed. I don’t
              know
why I didn’t think of looking in the phone book in the first
              place. I saw
a few ads and I went to my computer and typed in the website I saw
in an ad. I immediately requested an appointment via e-mail.
I was contacted the next day by the office and I was
surprised that Icouldn’t get in that day at 4 p.m. for a consult. I didn’t
              realize how busy
they are. The PS assistant said she could fit me in, in a couple
              of
weeks. I was very excited and I had done a little bit of research
              on the
net about implants. Not much though. But I did have a list of questions
to ask when I went there.
I got there and unfortunately had to wait. I was excited
and I had to get back to work and I must have looked a little impatient. The
surgeon came over to me and said he was sorry for the wait and it
 wouldn’t be much longer.
I tried on the 250’s and they seemed big. He
said that is a very modest implant. He suggested I try on the 275’s. I left thinking
              maybe
the 275’s. When I left I scheduled an appointment.
              That was the only
consult I went to. It felt right for me. It wasn’t until I
              discovered implant
forums that I realized most girls went to several. That kind of
              scared
me but I knew that I felt comfortable with him and decided to stick
 with him.
Shortly after I went in to try
on sizes. I brought a friend with me and Ieventually was debating between the 300’s and 325’s.
              The PS
assistant said to me, if you are debating between two sizes choose
the bigger one. She and my PS said they always hear girls say I
              wish
I would have went just a little bigger. I decided on the 325’s
              and left
very happy. I didn’t want to take them off.
About two weeks before my surgery
date I started freaking out. I washeavy into the forums by that point and heard lots of girls talking
              about
sizes and started thinking what if I’m not going big enough,
              what if I’m
going to big. I decided to go back and try them on again to put
              my
mind at ease. It worked and I was set on the 325’s.
The day of surgery I was up at
about 3 a.m. I couldn’t sleep. I was online at 4:30 a.m. for final posts before my last shower prior to
              surgery.
I was told to be at the hospital for 6:30 a.m. and that I was the
              second
surgery of the day. A friend of mine came with me and we sat in
              a
cute little lounge with a t.v. until about 7:30 a.m. then I was
              taken to
be weighed, asked some questions and I got my hospital bracelet.
I went back to the lounge until about 10 a.m. and was brought into
              the
room that I was going to recover in. About a half an hour later
              the first
girl was wheeled into my recovery room. She just had a BA and lipo.
She was out of it. I got very nervous.
