| JT's Story continued

My surgeon was very cheery and came
over to say hello with a huge smile. He asked if I had any
questions and then he proceeded to mark me up and take before photos.
              I was then wheeled down
stairs to the OR and just before they brought me in I had a few
tears. I wasn’t completely freaking out
but I was nervous. I’ve never been in a hospital before or
had an IV. I said good bye to my friend and
went into the OR. They started my IV and immediately I started to
feel funny. I said to my PS and
one of the nurses, am I suppose to feel funny. I don’t think
I heard the answer. I was out like a light.
    I woke
up just as they were straightening my bed out. My surgeon asked
how I felt and I said good, I’m hungry. Which is really funny because before I went in
I was starving and I kept telling my nurse
how hungry I was and she said you won’t feel like eating when
you get out. I did. They didn’t give me
any food at first though. I had water then ginger ale then I got
some toast. My roommate was moaning
a lot. I couldn’t see her but every time the nurse came in
she asked for more drugs. I felt wide-awake
 right a way. I didn’t feel tired like I thought I would. I
wanted out. My nurse asked me several times if I
wanted anything for the pain and I didn’t feel like I was
in that much pain so I said no. Then she took
out my IV and said to take 2 Tylenol 2’s for the ride home.
2 hours after my surgery I was on my way
 home.
    My friend
got me situated in my reclining chair and I wasn’t too hungry,
I was thirsty though. I drank aton of water. I was getting up to pee every 15 minutes max. I was
starting to feel sorry for my friend
because she would just sit down and I would ask her to help me get
up to pee. The first night I took
tylenol 3. During the day I was taking advil. The second night I
ended up taking 1 tylenol 3. I was
completely off of the advil by the Sunday, my BA was on the Wed.
My friend stayed with me the first
two nights. The third night I told her I would be fine. I was doing
great, I could do everything myself
my only concern was getting out of bed by myself. So I slept on
the couch for the next two nights.
I'm now 6 weeks post and I've had no problems and my breasts have
              softened up significantly
and look great. I'm very happy I decided to have my B.A. My breasts
look great. I think they fit my body
perfectly. It was a great experience and I would definitely do it
              again.
