| TW's Story
I have been wanting a BA ever since I can remember.
I've always been self-conscious about myself and hated the way I looked in
clothes. I grew up in a very small town and BA's were thought of
              as
something that only movie stars and Playboy models get. I started
              to
come to the realization that I was going to have to live the rest
              of my
 life with small boobs.
Even after moving to Ottawa I still didn't think that
it was possible. It wasn't until a few years later when I found out that my cousin
              had
gotten them that I thought that this was something that might actually
be feasible. After I finished University, I started doing tons of
              research
reading everything I could find on the subject. I didn't realize
              until then
just how common this surgery was! Eventually, I pretty much knew
everything there was to know about BA surgery. My only problem was
that I didn't have the money to pay for it upfront and I didn't
              have the
credit to get a loan. I was at a loss. What I could buy right away
              though
was something called Curves, which are those gel inserts for bras.
              I
wore those for over a year. I thought that I could at least get
              the figure I
wanted in clothes and when I do plan to get them done, no one would
 really notice.
Thanks to Sarah who introduced me to this wonderful
website, I heard of a company called Credit Medical. Since I really had nothing
to lose, I applied. I still had no idea what the cost of the surgery
was going to be since I hadn't even picked a surgeon yet so I applied
              for
the maximum amount that it would be. I needed a co-signer, which
my boyfriend was more than happy to provide for me, and was
instantly approved. I couldn't believe it!! I was finally going
              to get boobs.
Based on my own research, I had decided that I was
going to make the trip from Ottawa to Toronto to have my surgery and the very
              next
day I booked 3 consultations. Unfortunately a few days before my
trip, one surgeon had to cancel and one surgeon didn't even show
              up!
That left me with 1 consultation with Dr. Mitchell H. Brown. This
              made
me a little nervous since I knew that it was recommended that you
see more than one. The minute I arrived at his office and met him,
my worries melted away and I knew that he was the surgeon for me.
He was extremely professional, very friendly and his credentials
              were
amazing. I spent about an hour in his office going over my
measurements and expectations. I knew that I wanted to get the
Cohesive Gel implants placed under the muscle and I knew the only
incision I could get was a crease incision since the gels are inserted
already full. What I didn't know was what size. Based on his
calculations, the largest size that my ribcage could accommodate
              was
335g. This was also the size that he recommended I go with to get
the look I was trying to achieve. I trusted his judgement completely
 so that's what I chose.
I scheduled my surgery the very same day and had an
unbearable 2months to wait for the big day. I also had a 2nd consultation a
              month
after my first just to finalize everything, to take before photos
              and also
to get my blood work done. Everything was set. Credit Medical had
paid for my surgery on the date of my 2nd visit, I booked my week
off from work and all I had to do now was wait. It felt like an
              eternity
but I spent my time getting things ready for after I return home
              and
making sure I had everything I needed. Then before I knew it, it
              was
 time.
I travelled to Toronto the night before my surgery
and stayed in a hotel close to the clinic. It still seemed so unreal to me and it
              didn't
really sink in until the next morning as I was making my way to
              the
clinic for 8:30am. I was really worried because I had developed
              a bit
of a cough the week before. I didn't have a fever or anything so
              I was
good to go. I was taken in right away and my boyfriend made his
              way
back to the hotel room to await the call to say I was finished.
              I was
brought to a changing room where I was told to put on a hospital
gown and slippers and then I walked across the hall to another
room to wait for Dr. Brown. He came in and asked me if I had any
questions then started to make drawings on my chest with a marker
 for incision site, placement, etc.
Then I met with the anaesthesiologist who asked me
a few questionsand reassured me that everything will be fine. I had asked him to
include an anti-nauseant in with the anaesthesia since I've never
had surgery before and wasn't sure how I would react. A few minutes
later I walked into the next room where 4 or 5 nurses were getting
things ready. This was very nerve-racking to see. I was placed on
              the
surgery table and was given an IV. Soon I had an oxygen mask over
my face and the last thing I remember was the anaesthesiologist
adding a liquid to my IV and saying that it will give me really
              nice
 dreams. Continued
