Dr. Bowman has extensive experience using both saline and cohesive gel breast implants, and he uses dimensional analysis to fit the appropriate implant to your body.
If you?re seeking a very natural, ?non-augmented? look, then you may benefit from anatomic cohesive gel implants. Dr. Bowman understands that many women like the natural shape of their breasts, but would simply like them somewhat larger. Going larger does not have to mean that your breasts will look artificial. A beautiful and natural shape -- that can be either featured or downplayed -- can be achieved with today?s modern breast implants.
Born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Dr. Cameron Bowman attended Simon Fraser University for his undergraduate education and then was accepted at the University of British Columbia where he earned his Medical Degree in 1999. His training continued as a Resident in the Division of Plastic Surgery at U.B.C. His main area of interest was surgery of the breast, and during this time he published an article and produced a DVD about breast reconstruction following mastectomy. Following his surgical residency, Dr. Bowman continued to focus on breast surgery and traveled to Michigan, U.S.A. to do further work with Dr. Dennis Hammond, a world leader in surgery of the breast. Here, he sharpened his skills in all aspects of breast surgery including esthetic and reconstructive procedures.
Following his training, Dr. Bowman accepted a clinical appointment within the Division of Plastic Surgery, U.B.C. where he is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor. He is involved in medical student and Resident teaching and remains active as an invited speaker. He continues to work as a reconstructive trauma surgeon, and he performs breast reconstructive surgery for women who have been afflicted with breast cancer.
In addition, Dr. Bowman remains busy with his esthetic practice, encompassing all areas of cosmetic surgery with a special focus on surgery of the breast.
