Having cared for patients with everything from Grizzly bear maulings and major hand trauma to breast cancer and cosmetic concerns, Dr. Reid has developed a keen interest and a commitment to excellence in all areas of Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Reid has enjoyed extensive training along the way to becoming a Board Certified plastic surgeon in the greater Vancouver area. He received his Doctor of Medicine with honors from the University of British Columbia in 2003. The following year, he entered directly into the Reconstructive and Cosmetic Plastic Surgery residency program at the University of Calgary. This comprehensive program provided excellent training in both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery of the face, breast and body. Upon completing his residency training and Fellowship Examination in 2008, he was awarded a Specialist Certificate in Plastic Surgery and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. 

Shortly after completing his training, Dr. Reid and his family returned to the lower Mainland where he took a staff position in the Division of Plastic Surgery at the Richmond Hospital. Dr. Reid was raised in Richmond and he is proud to support his home community with his reconstructive surgery practice.

Dr. Reid’s expertise allows him to offer care to patients seeking facial rejuvenation, breast surgery and body contouring. Pursuing cosmetic surgery is a uniquely personal decision. “My role is to provide support for each patient by educating them about the available treatment options, and to provide guidance as to which option would ideally suite their specific goals and expectations.” Each patients concerns are different and need to be understood and addressed so that you can proceed confidently with your treatment plan.

Dr. Reid also has an interest in teaching and has received an academic appointment in the University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine as a Clinical Instructor.
