Dr. James graduated from Queen’s University at Kingston in 1968 andtrained in Plastic Surgery at McGill University from 1971 to 1976. He has been a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and has practiced in Ottawa for 31 years. At the moment his Ottawa office practice is restricted to cosmetic surgery of the breast and body contouring procedures. He is currently on staff at the Queensway Carleton Hospital, Carleton Place Memorial Hospital, Arnprior Hospital and Renfrew Victoria Hospital.
Successful breast augmentation surgery requires that the patient and physician make difficult choices during the preoperative consultations. No two women are alike and each one has their own reasons for requesting breast surgery. Dr. James has extensive experience with saline and gel implants and the consultation process involves an in depth discussion of these choices. Prosthesis style, size, placement and scar location must be chosen and the reasons for each choice understood.
