In 1996 Dr Husain was accepted in the McGill University Surgery Program for training in Plastic Surgery. During this period, he received training for a wide range of Plastic & Reconstructive procedures. He also received an award for 'Best Reconstructive Research Paper' at the Senior Residents conference in Seattle in 2001 for a study on 'Reconstructive Needs of Breast Cancer Patients with Partial Mastectomy Defects'.
Dr. Husain graduated from McGill University in
2002 after successfully passing his Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada examination. He then moved to Moncton, New Brunswick, where he quickly established a busy and successful practice. In 2006, Dr. Husain took time off his practice and went for further specialization at the University of British Columbia in the field of Reconstructive Breast Surgery, where he received his Post-Graduate Fellowship certificate.
Dr. Husain performs Plastic, Reconstructive & Cosmetic Surgery at the Moncton Hospital, Georges L. Dumont Hospital and Sackville Hospital, serving the patients in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and PEI. He is currently planning to open the first private Cosmetic Surgery Clinic & Spa in the Greater Moncton Area.
